Christchurch or Ami Stadium
Ami Stadium or Christchurch Stadium as it is being called for the Rugby World Cup is the premier stadium in the South Island of New Zealand and home to the Crusaders Rugby franchise. The stadium also hosts international rugby and cricket match's every year.
The stadium will have completed a redevelopment in time for 2011 and the redeveloped stadium will seat 38,608 fans, 2000 more than the previous capacity. The design also enables multiple temporary seating options to extend capacity to 45,000. Future uses of the stadium will also see it hosting games in the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
Christchurch was badly damaged during the earthquakes and all games had to be moved to other stadiums.

Bus Routes
Route 31:
Route 31 can be caught at Sumner and travels down Ferry Rd on the way in to the Central City. The closest stop to Jade Stadium for this bus route is on Moorhouse Ave between Lancaster Street and Wilsons Road.
Route 32:
Route 32 travels from the central city out to Mt Pleasant, the closest stopping point to Jade Stadium is on Ferry Road on the corner of Mathesons Road opposite the Post Shop.
The Stadium has a number of taxi stands that are available and convenient. They are located in the following areas:
Western side of Lancaster Street approximately 50 metres from Stevens Street in a northerly direction, Southern side of Moorhouse Avenue west of Lancaster Street, Western side of Wilsons Road park side
Christchurch International Airport is in Harewood to the west of the city centre. There are taxi or shuttle bus services into town as well as a full range of rental cars. If you are driving: Head northeast on Durey Rd 0.6 km, 2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Memorial Ave 0.6 km, at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Russley Rd 3.4 km, continue on Masham Rd 0.8 km, Masham Rd turns slightly right and becomes Carmen Rd 0.5 km, turn left at Buchanans Rd 1.2 km, slight right at Racecourse Rd 0.5 km, slight left at Lowther St 0.3 km, turn left at Main South Rd 0.1 km, at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Blenheim Rd 1.2 km, turn right at Curletts Rd 1.3 km, continue on Christchurch Southern Mwy 2.6 km, continue on Jerrold St Nth 0.5 km, continue on Brougham St 3.0 km, turn left at Wilsons Rd Nth 0.9 km and then turn left at Stevens St you will now see the stadium.
