The Pumas had undoubtadly their best World Cup in France in 2007 when they finished third, beating hosts France by a convincing 34-10 to claim the position having given eventual winner South Africa a scare in the semi-finals. This result gave them automatic selection into the 2011 competition and for the first time they are seeded in Pool B where they play England,Scotland, Europe 1 and the play-off winner.

Argentina have launched new shirts for the Rugby World Cup in France. The shirt has changed from previous versions mainly in the style of the colour scheme which retains the blue and white but the stipes are only on the front and their are pale blue side panels. The shirt is made by Adidas and features the Rugby World Cup logo, as with most other shirts it has no collar and short sleeves.
