England South Africa Odds

England meet South Africa for the second occasion in the pool stages of Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2007 in pool ‘A’ on the  14th Sep in Stade De France, Saint Denis. The previous meeting resulted in a win for  England, 25-6 in Australia 2003. The only other RWC meeting between the sides was a quarter final win for South Africa 44-21 in 1999.

Although South Africa are hosting England for 2 fixtures in May they will probably not be real pointers to the RWC as England will travel without some of the top players.  We see this game as a hard fought encounter which will decide the ultimate winner of the pool, all the signs are that England will lose the game but go down fighting all the way. Expect England to lose by less than 10 points.

England 16/1
South Africa 8/1

Updates to this preview will follow closer to the 2007 Rugby World Cup and as odds on the match itself become available we will let you know.
