England squad for Dubai

Tom Varndell is in the England Sevens squad for Rugby World Cup Sevens 2009 in Dubai as one of two changes coach Ben Ryan has made, the other is the return of Josh Drauniniu from injury. Varndell the Leicester Tigers wing last played for England Sevens in the 2005/06 IRB Sevens World Series and was a member of the side who claimed the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games 2006 in Melbourne. Ryan has also recalled Josh Drauniniu to the squad after his recovery from injury sustained in the opening leg of the IRB Sevens World Series in Dubai in November with Ben Jones and Daniel Norton the unlucky players to miss out this time.

England will open their RWC Sevens 2009 campaign against Hong Kong on 5 March, before facing Tunisia and Kenya the following day at The Sevens with only the Pool E winner guaranteed a spot in the Cup quarter finals.
