France Argentina Odds

France open the 2007 Rugby World Cup (RWC) on the 7th September at the Stade De France with a game against Argentina in pool’D’. This will be only the second time the sides have met in the RWC, the last occasion was in the quarter-finals 1999 when France came out winners 47-26.

France vs Argentina Preview

The sides have become much closer in terms of wins and scores over recent times but France still hold the edge, particularly at home were they narrowly won the last two encounters. The sides have in fact met a total of 39 times with France winning 30, drawing 1 and losing 8. We feel that home advantage will definitely count in France’s favour in the RWC and we see the game being a close albeit high scoring game with France only pulling away in the last quarter and coming out winners by more than 10 points. We tip Pierre Mignoni scrumhalf and Remy Martin Flanker to be stars in the French squad.
