Ireland Namibia Odds

Ireland who are coming to the 2007 Rugby World Cup (RWC) in a strong position to compete for the trophy, play their first match against Namibia in the Chaban Delmas Stadium, Bordeaux, on the 9th September in pool ‘D’. This will be the second RWC meeting between the sides and Ireland will expect to better the 64-7 result from 2003.
Ireland vs Namibia Preview

With Ireland sitting high in the ratings it is unlikely that Namibia will be able to offer any constructive resistance in this meeting and we expect the Irish to come away with victory by more than 50 points.  We know most of the names in the Irish side as the squad all performed in the recent six nations.  But we expect Paul O’Connell and Donncha O’Callaghan in the pack and Brian O’Driscoll and Gordon D’Arcy in the backs to shine with Paul Stringer and Ronan O’Gara staring at halfback.

Ireland 10/1
Namibia 5000/1

Updates to this preview will follow closer to the 2007 Rugby World Cup and as odds on the match itself become available we will let you know.
