Italy now join the RWC 2007 Europe 2 qualification trail

Italy play a home fixture this Saturday against Portugal. Italy the favourites to progress as Europe 2 now enter the qualification mix for the first time.  They are grouped with Portugal and Russia, both good tests but ones they are expected to pass on route to France 2007.
