Italy meet Portugal on the 19 Sep in Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2007 at the Parc De Princes, Paris, in pool ‘C’. Although this is their first meeting in the RWC finals, the sides did meet on the way to qualification for France 2007 in the European qualifying round.  On that occasion Italy won 83-0.

This game should be one of the two that Italy will be certain to win in RWC 2007. Having beaten Portugal convincingly in their last meeting we expect Italy to run out winners by more than 40 points. They will probably rest some of their stars so it will not be quite the walk over spectators would expect.
