Manawatu Arena, Palmerston North

Palmerston North and the Arena are in the southern area of the north island of New Zealand, making it very near the Capitol Wellington. It is the largest city between Hamilton and Wellington with well developed infrastructure services and amenities. Palmerston North serves as a major terminus by road, rail and air, having an international airport.

Manawatu Arena or FMG Stadium is the home of Manawatu Rugby and is an 18,000 capacity stadium which will host 2 pool games in the 2011 Rugby World Cup, the first on 28 September Georgia v Romania and 2 October Argentina v Georgia. The stadium is also used from time to time by the Hurricanes Super 14 franchise.
