Rotorua International Stadium, Rotorua

Rotorua International Stadium, with seating for up to 34,000. will host 3 pool games during the 2011 Rugby World Cup. 10 September Fiji v Namibia, 14 September Samoa v Namibia and 25 September Ireland v Russia.

The stadium is traditionally the domain of local and international sporting events and festivals. Rugby matches are regular fixtures throughout the winter season, with the stadium also popular with athletics, softball and other sporting codes.Major acts, such as UB40, have successfully staged concerts at the stadium, with the centre field occupied by thousands of fans seated close to the events on stage.

Rotorua as the thermal area of New Zealand is a popular holiday destination and also home to a large community of Marois. Look out for the tiours to shows and be sure to take in a Hangi meal.
