Rugby Park Stadium, Invercargill

Rugby Park, Invercargill is a rugby union venue and home ground for Air New Zealand Cup team Southland. The ground has a capacity of around 23,000 and will host two pool games, the first on 10 September, when Scotland will play the Romania and the second on the 17th, when Argentina will take on the same opposition. The stadium which is also the home of the Southland Spirit Soccer Team was opened in 2002 following the demolition of the previous Homestead Stadium and it is the southern most stadium hosting games in the 2011 Rugby world Cup.

Car

Either coming into town by Highway 1 or 6 will bring you to the centre of town. Enter Clyde Street and look for the major junction with Tweed Street, your turn will be left if from the north and right if from the south. The first major junction will be the intersection with Elles Road. Also look out for the signs to the stadium.

Bus

The main method for moving around Invercargill is by bus and many services are zero charge. The town being reasonably small and the Rugby Park in the heart of the town it is easily accessible from all areas

Airport transport is mainly by taxi as the airport is only 3.2km from the stadium.
