Marseille's Stade Vélodrome

Stade Vélodrome is the southern most venue for the 2007 RWC. The stadium which is normally host to the football team Olympique de Marseille will host pool games featuring both New Zealand and France and also the winner pool B versus runner up pool A quarter final. The stadium which has 60,000 seats should be sold-out for these games.

Marseille the largest seaport on the French Mediterranean will be an exciting city for the fans to explore with its ancient history and historic buildings including the magnificent Notre Dame de la Garde, overlooking the port. The usual surfeit of sunshine means that the roadside cafes and bars are full of people eating and drinking and just watching the passers by.

Marseille will host 4 pool games and a quarter final, the pick of the pool games will feature New Zealand 8th September 2007 and France 30th September 2007.
