Seddon Park, also known as Waikato Stadium in Hamilton is yet another stadium that has no signposting until you are pretty much on the door step. The stadium is home to Waikato NPC team and the Super 14 (15) team the Chiefs. We came into the town from Cambridge and even following the route 1 (Lincoln St) highway could not see the lights until we were close. This is compounded by the nearby cricket stadium lights which could knock you off course.

With this in mind, coming from the south the easiest route is stay on the 1 until you reach Hall St which is a right turn (coming from the north suggest you go for the same route so a left turn), Seddon Road is then a left turn off Hall St. The main gates and admin buildings are the second entrance with gate C the first. Parking like most of the stadiums is an issue there are three designated areas on Ward Park, Seddon Road, also beside the stadium on Bryce St and a further area on London Street. It also looked a bit like they may shut some of one of the main roads which looked like a coach park layout.

We were able to enter the stadium and take photographs within the stand and this is another stadium with good close viewing of the games. A pretty stadium, a bit tricky to find but near the centre of town and accommodation our impression was it will be easier to stay locally and walk or bus to the ground. Though we prefer Cambridge accommodation. Whichever this is a popular area and so if you are going start thinking about where you will stay.
