Waikato Stadium, Hamilton

Waikato Stadium was opened in 2002 and so is quite a young stadium, it is a 25,800 capacity stadium in the heart of the north island of New Zealand and home to the Chiefs Super 14 franchise and Waikato Air New Zealand Cup team. It will host 3 pool games for the 2011 Rugby World Cup and they are 16 September New Zealand v Japan, 18 September Wales v Samoa and 2 October Wales v Fiji.

Waikato region,is a stunning area of New Zealand in the heart of the north island and amongst its attractions are the Waitomo caves, it also boasts the largets free flight aviary in the southern hemisphere.The main centre of the Waikato region is Hamilton—a city that serves the thriving farming and university community. Hamilton is also New Zealand's fourth largest city.
