World Rugby News > France, Six Nations, Wales
France stay on track for the Grand Slam in a nail biting and exciting Six Nations match at the Millennium Stadium.
France raced into a 20-0 lead by half time thanks to interception tries by Alexis Palisson and Francois Trinh-Duc and 10 points from the boot of Morgan Parra.

At this stage Wales were dead and buried and needed to score first in the second half if they were to stage a fight back and make it a contest. They did just that as Stepehen Jones slotted a couple of penalties, then Leigh Halfpenny scored the all important try 13-20. It was not to be a fairy tale ending for the Welsh however as Frederic Michalak hit two penalties before Shane Williams
