Warren Gatland has named his squad for the match against South Africa in Cardiff on 5 June and the two-Test New Zealand tour. Those named are all based in Wales coming from the Blues, Ospreys and Scarlets. He has brought back Blues number eight Andy Powell into his 27-man squad. Also in are the uncapped Scarlets trio Tavis Knoyle, Ken Owens and Rob McCusker. The Ospreys’ teenage wing Tom Prydie retains his place and Blues prop John Yapp returns after injury problems.

Injuries ruled James Hook, Luke Charteris, Dwayne Peel and Martyn Williams out of the reckoning.
