Wallabies cement 2nd in IRB listings

Australia beat South Africa by 25-17 to ensure they hold onto the 2nd spot in the IRB rankings.
The Springboks have slipped from 3rd to fourth thanks to the loss, but France have dropped from 2nd to 3rd without kicking a ball. Although New Zealand lost last week they still have a strong lead in 1st place. We will wait for the balance of tri-nations matches to be played out before we make any further comments and firm up on the full list of rankings.
